Realtors see surge in U.S. visitors
who later return to purchase real estate in Mont Tremblant.
Oct. 19, 2016
According to experts the Quebec Canada’s Housing Market, which includes real estate in Mont Tremblant, appears to have a positive and steady outlook going forward. In 2015 and the early part of 2016, the Canadian dollar fell steeply against the U.S. dollar. While it has recovered some of its value, the Lonnie is still way below its early 2013 level when the two currencies were closer in equality.
For people in the U.S. this means bigger bargains in the Mont Tremblant vacation home market. Even though Mont Tremblant does not track data on home buyers’ citizenship, Realtors in Mont Tremblant and many other resort communities throughout Quebec Canada have seen a surge in U.S. visitors over the past year. They also noted that many of these Americans are now returning to purchase real estate in Mont Tremblant as vacation homes.
