Tremblant lodging categories handled by the CITQ
The CITQ which was appointed by the Ministry of Tourism regulates Tremblant lodging establishments. As per the Act Respecting Tourist Accommodation Establishments, there are 9 different classification types for tourist accommodations throughout Quebec. Eight of the nine classification categories are graded using a scale of 0 to 5 stars. Bed and Breakfast establishments are classified using a scale of 0 to 5 suns.
The classes of tourist accommodation establishments for Tremblant lodging include:
Establishments that offer accommodations in furnished rooms, suites or apartments that have kitchen facilities, including hotel services. Classified on a scale of 0 to 5 stars
Establishments that offer accommodations in furnished apartments, houses or cottages, including kitchen facilities.
Bed and Breakfast Establishments
Establishments that offer, for an all-inclusive price, accommodations in rooms in a private residence where the operator resides and rents a maximum of 5 rooms receiving a maximum of 15 persons, including breakfast served on the premises.
Establishments that offer, for an all-inclusive price, accommodations, including food services or kitchen facilities, recreational or entertainment services, and recreational facilities and equipment.
Establishments that offer accommodations in rooms, or in beds in one or more dormitories, including food services or kitchen facilities and full-time supervision.
Establishments that offer accommodations in an educational institution, governed by whichever Act, except if the accommodation units are rented to students of the institution only.
Other Accommodation Establishments
Tourist accommodation establishments that belong to none of the other classes.
